This collaboration grew out of a shared respect for American craftsmanship and tradition. White’s has built its reputation on traditional bootmaking methods that have stood the test of time, while Kato has redefined heritage clothing with a focus on comfort and modern wearability.
Together, we created a pair of boots that honor tradition without feeling bound by it. Built in the USA with the same rugged durability WHITE’S is known for, and refined with Kato’s dedication to comfort, these boots are designed to be both functional and versatile. The result is a look that gets compliments in the city and dependability that gets respect on the job site. Every detail reflects a balance of rugged tradition and modern style. Built in the USA, this KATO x WHITE’S collaboration is not just built to last, but built to live in.
At White’s, the Kato collaboration boots are built from start to finish under one roof in Spokane, Washington. Few factories in the world still work this way. Every step — from cutting the hides to hand-lasting, hand-welting, and bottoming — is done by master bootmakers who have carried forward traditions refined for over 150 years. It’s a slower process, but it’s the only way to create boots that truly earn the word “craft.”
The leather is cut from the strongest part of the hide, the stitchdown is done entirely by hand, and each detail is built to be repaired and rebuilt as the years go by. The result is uncompromising boots that will last a lifetime.

White’s Boots, founded in 1853, has built its reputation on exceptional craftsmanship, producing boots that are as enduring as the workers who wear them. From the beginning, the company has been led by skilled bootmakers, ensuring each pair is crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Their signature handsewn stitchdown construction involves over 25 individual steps, resulting in boots that offer a custom fit and unparalleled durability. This dedication to quality has earned White’s a loyal following among loggers, firefighters, and craftsmen across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Today, the legacy continues in Spokane, Washington, where each boot is made to withstand the rigors of hard work and the test of time.
