Our premium denim is inspired by the classic vintage blue jean. Our Premium Japanese 4-Way Stretch Selvedge denim story starts in Japan where our fabric is developed at one of the oldest denim mills. We blend a unique 4 way stretch material with selvedge denim to create a specific amount of stretch and comfort you wouldn’t typically get with selvedge denim. This 360 degree of stretch gives the wearer comfort from every angle no matter what they are doing.

This season we use our breakthrough 4 Way Stretch Selvedge as the base for several new fabrics that give a nod to the freewheeling vibe of the 70’s.

This denim is Indigo dyed to a light and vibrant blue. This color combined with the lightweight makes for the ideal summer selvedge. The denim features a faded red selvedge ID.

I have never owned a pair of Hiroshi Kato jeans before, but have other pairs of selvedge jeans. This pair is comfortable, the fit is very generous, rise is not too low in the front, and they honestly feel more like lounge pants than jeans. The color on these is beautiful and excited to wear these this summer, 10.5 oz fabric is very light even in 100 degree weather. Would recommend

Shocked by the quality, perfect summer jeans.

Got the old blue color in the hammer fit. The outside fabric is slightly sand paper like, not in that it's super abrasive, it's just worth of noting because the inside of the fabric is buttery, silky smooth, it also has a cooling like effect on my skin, and the fact that it's so lightweight, they feel awesome in the spring/summer heat. They definitely look more pale/powdery blue compared to the pictures above, which I actually prefer. The construction feels incredibly solid, even with the stretch quality of the jeans, they feel very high quality. Fit me perfectly (I've got an average/slim build, but thicker thighs, and they fit like a glove around the waist and seat. Definitely pick you usual size, these are true to fit. Can't wait to see em fade after some wear.

Vintage Blue

These fit great, and I'm expecting some interesting fades with this vintage blue. The color is amazing, it reminds me of the jeans my grandfather used to wear at the farm. They've quickly become my favorite pair. I am strongly considering getting another in this fit, with a different wash. I've done one initial soak and have been wearing them pretty consistently, I'm excited to see how these age over time. They're already incredibly comfortable, but they feel like they'll break in really well.

Designed perfectly

I had some delivery issues, but HK sorted them out. Having recently discovered the brand, I’m impressed with their overall quality and attention to detail. I recently purchased the same color in the “Pen” slim. They’re a heavier denim 14. something oz. I liked them, but thought I’d try the “Hammer Straight” for a more relaxed feel. I can chalk this purchase up as a win and I’m inclined to grab a few different variations of them. I’m not one to review, but these are deserving…
