Description

The new slubby 13oz 4-way Stretch Selvage boasts a distinctive colored weft that boldly sets it apart. You can cuff these jeans for maximum effect or leave them uncuffed allowing just the subtle tint of the weft showing through the denim for a slight shift in perspective.

Our brand-new Etched denim is a perfect example of when quality and heritage meet inspiration. The crosshatch slub texture in this denim is only found in the highest quality Japanese denim. The skill and equipment needed to produce this kind of denim is very rare and only a handful of Mills in the world can achieve this.

Shrinkage

Raw denim has up to 2% shrinkage while it would be 1% for washed denim after wash but they will also stretch out again by being worn over time.

Is this edition planned to return??

I keep being late to all the good stuff! I would have purchased this on the spot if I had known about it. Dang it. It looks so good and offers such a unique color and texture to a wardrobe, I would LOVE to own a pair. Are they planned to return anytime soon or at all?

I have never owned a pair of jeans that are so unique, gorgeous and comfortable all at the same time. I wish that i had had the foresight to order a green pair as well as a possible second pair of the Bordeaux. Truly lovely jeans.

Studio Collection Bordeaux Pen Slim

There are so many good things to say about the denim. The crosshatch slub fabric is fantastic. I absolutely love the red/bordeaux color paired with the indigo; it shows as dark purple in the light, which I really like. The attention to detail (i.e., the multicolored selvedge, the patch, the zipper, and the button) is top-notch.
The only downside, in my opinion, was that the jeans were only offered in the Pen fit--I am used to the Hammer fit. To ensure I had the correct size I had to go to a local store to try on a pair of Hiroshi Kato jeans in the Pen fit. I found that I had to size up to a larger waist size, and fortunately the denim has some stretch.
