Our premium denim is inspired by the classic vintage blue jean. Our Premium Japanese 4-Way Stretch Selvedge denim story starts in Japan where our fabric is developed at one of the oldest denim mills. We blend a unique 4 way stretch material with selvedge denim to create a specific amount of stretch and comfort you wouldn’t typically get with selvedge denim. This 360 degree of stretch gives the wearer comfort from every angle no matter what they are doing.

This season we use our breakthrough 4 Way Stretch Selvedge as the base for several new fabrics that give a nod to the freewheeling vibe of the 70’s.

This denim is Indigo dyed to a light and vibrant blue. This color combined with the lightweight makes for the ideal summer selvedge. The denim features a faded red selvedge ID.

Crafted with intention, our denim is made using premium Japanese 4-way stretch selvedge in our Los Angeles workshop. Our denim goes through a time consuming 50 day process from start to finish to ensure the highest of quality. Favorite Jeans

Only jeans I want to wear. Perfect fit. This is my 4th pair and am slightly obsessed so I'm finding it difficult not buying every color available. I used the hemming service and they do an amazing job.

Great Jeans

First pair from Kato & these are awesome. Great color, not too too vibrant, just the right shade of blue. Comparing these to my other Japanese denim jeans, I prefer these because of the stretch, they’re super comfortable and great quality. My only gripe is the customer is responsible for paying for hemming. I know most denim companies make these 34+ inches long, but I wish we didn’t have to pay for hemming. Other than that, all good and will purchase again.

Surprisingly Great Color

These jeans are the typical outstanding quality of Kato Jeans but I was surprised how much I liked the color. They look like a modern version of your grampa’s jeans in the best way possible. Love them.

Highly Impressed

When I saw these jeans online I thought they looked fantastic and I ordered them immediately. Just got them today and I was not disappointed in the least. They are a bit stiff, but I know they will break in over time, but even being a bit stiff they were still comfortable when I tried them on. Just the right amount of stretch. They are incredibly well made, from the stitching, to the rivets, to even the feel of the pockets. I can't wait to get them hemmed so I can start wearing them.
