Our premium denim is inspired by the classic vintage blue jean. Our Premium Japanese 4-Way Stretch Selvedge denim story starts in Japan where our fabric is developed at one of the oldest denim mills. We blend a unique 4 way stretch material with selvedge denim to create a specific amount of stretch and comfort you wouldn’t typically get with selvedge denim. This 360 degree of stretch gives the wearer comfort from every angle no matter what they are doing.

Our 4-Way Stretch selvedge fabric is weaved using vintage shuttle looms. Rolls of denim fabric are then brought into our workshop in Los Angeles where each pair goes through a 60 to 90 day process of cut, sew, washing and testing. With 4 fits available in multiple weights (see fit guide) and washes, the style options are endless.

Crafted with intention, our denim is made using premium Japanese 4-way stretch selvedge in our Los Angeles workshop. Our denim goes through a time consuming 50 day process from start to finish to ensure the highest of quality. Built using only the best available hardware with traditional machines and techniques, you are getting a true vintage inspired piece with a modern upgrade of comfort.

Size integrity issues

The Pen Slim - Tyler size 32 front and rear rise is shorter for than other models in the Pen line-up (e.g. Rain) and not aligned to the numbers in the size guide. Sadly, I returned the denim. Loved the wash and otherwise quality. Subsequent fit was not desired.

Almost perfect

Leg and taper are perfect, material is excellent and soft and durable, color is on point. The crotch is just a tiny bit too snug. But they look great and I love the stretch selvedge so I’m going to buy another pair anyway.
