Our premium denim is inspired by the classic vintage blue jean. Our Premium Japanese 4-Way Stretch Selvedge denim story starts in Japan where our fabric is developed at one of the oldest denim mills. We blend a unique 4 way stretch material with selvedge denim to create a specific amount of stretch and comfort you wouldn’t typically get with selvedge denim. This 360 degree of stretch gives the wearer comfort from every angle no matter what they are doing.

Our 4-Way Stretch selvedge fabric is weaved using vintage shuttle looms. Rolls of denim fabric are then brought into our workshop in Los Angeles where each pair goes through a 60 to 90 day process of cut, sew, washing and testing. With 4 fits available in multiple weights (see fit guide) and washes, the style options are endless.

Shrinkage

Raw denim has up to 2% shrinkage while it would be 1% for washed denim after wash but they will also stretch out again by being worn over time.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, You may return or exchange the items within 21 days from the date the order is shipped out.

Once your order with the hemming request is brought to our tailor, the order will not be refundable.

International orders (outside from the US) are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

Our denim goes through a time consuming 50 day process from start to finish to ensure the highest of quality. Customer service is abhorrent

Ordered 4 pairs of jeans and 2 shirts from this company. When I had a problem with the quality on one of the items, a shirt they took weeks to remedy the problem and then said it was just the nature of the garment which is completely untrue. I’ve owned many of the same kind of garments over the years and never had the issue. Care instructions were followed to the letter. The company eventually did replace the garment but in no way tried to make amends for their lack of quality control or oversight, or my time and money in having to send back the item and wait weeks for a replacement which they shipped as slow as possible. Do your best to avoid having to deal with customer service from this company. As for this specific pair of jeans they are a nice mid weight pair and very comfortable. Sizing is accurate. Quality on their jeans far exceeds the quality on their shirts.

Best Pair of Jeans Bar None

These jeans don't just look good, they are durable, incredibly well-made, and super comfortable. It is rare to find all those things in the same pair of jeans. While there may be jeans out there that claim to be all these things at a lower price point, but I would be wary of such claims. Hiroshi Kato know their denim and clearly take pride in their work. This will most certainly not be the last pair of jeans or other garments I purchase. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
