The Axe Denit® - Smoke Blue

Incredibly well made and super comfortable chinos. Wish I could wear them every day. For reference, I am 6' 2" and 200 lbs. My issue is the difference in size measurements compared to their jeans. As anybody who has ever bought from high end denim manufacturers already knows, they constantly advertise the importance of NOT using vanity sizing and using true measurements. I have a pair of 14 oz. slim cut Pen stretch denim from Kato that I absolutely love. They are the first pair of selvedge jeans I have ever owned and they fit me perfectly. I get compliments every time I wear them. When I decided to spring for a pair of their chinos, I assumed they still used true measurements and not vanity sizing, like with their jeans. That's where I was wrong. The 38 inch chinos that I ordered where way too big at the waist. I could not return them because I wore them once and that was against company policy. I was shocked to see they were two inches bigger at the bigger at the waist than my 38 inch jeans. I thought maybe there was a mistake made when they manufactured them. I emailed Kato's CS and was informed the size was correct and that the chinos are sized bigger. I did not see this on their website. I ordered a second pair of chinos at 36" and they fit like my 38" jeans. So buyer beware!
