I've been searching for the right pair of jeans that represent the perfect fit for me and color. I like them better the Raleigh Denim and all that other high quality denim companies that I have purchased, owned, and tried. Hiroshi nailed the fit, color, and fit. I have 4 pairs of these Scissors Slim Tapered- Indigo Raw 10.5oz Selvedge. On top of it all, Hiroshi Kato let's you select to get them hemmed which is a great service and they are fast and the jeans hemmed perfectly to pair with my Red Wing Heritage Boots. I've gone through a few tailors in town and none of them could get it right. Best jeans I've owned. Thank you Hiroshi. Well done.

Materials and construction are nice. These do indeed have a slim fit. They were just too tight in the seat and thigh for me, and I had to return them. I'm 6'0" and 175 lb and wear 32x32 as my go-to size. I have a rather slim build naturally, but I do squat and lift some weights. If you're like me these likely won't fit you, and you need an athletic fit. I really wish Hiroshi Kato would make an athletic fit tapered jean. Until they do, I have to search elsewhere.

After trying other direct to consumer brands and even having a pair of jeans custom made (mistake), I was super happy with my Hiroshi Kato purchase. As soon as I put these on they felt instantly comfortable - which is surprising for new selvage denim, but the small amount of stretch makes a huge difference. I like the fit of the scissors and have ordered a few different washes as these are my go-to work/out to dinner jeans. I wanted to like the pen slim cut but found the rise/crotch to be too high/tight so stuck with the scissors. The jeans did stretch out/loose up a little after wearing a few times - nothing crazy, but if you're in-between sizes like me, would suggest sizing down in the waist.

I wore these on my recent trip to Europe. I love the 4-stretch on long distance flights, trains and buses rides. The fit is perfect. After daily wear for 3 weeks straight on the road the jeans exceeded my expectations. I will be purchasing another pair in a different color just to change things up little. Great job Kato!!!

I got these jeans and now the only problem is I want every color. Unreal quality and comfort. If you are deciding whether they are worth it, I’ll decide for you… just get them and you won’t regret the purchase.
