Say hello to the newest member of the Double Gauze family. We set out to push the limits of softness and add a level of texture rarely seen in a double gauze fabric. The inside layer is made from the same gauze fabric used on Kato Brand’s flagship, “The Ripper” Double Gauze Shirt. The outer layer is a lightweight, textured waffle fabric that looks as soft as it feels. Kato’s Waffle Double Gauze Shirt is made from 100% cotton and has been garment dyed, so it will eventually fade and age beautifully, revealing even more character. The more you wash and wear the shirt, the softer it gets. This light, breathable shirt is the most comfortable button-up you have ever worn.

We updated the buttons on “The Ripper” Waffle Double Gauze Shirt to classic Japanese cat’s eye buttons for a more vintage feel

Highest quality

The quality of this shirt is exceptional. I appreciate all of the details. I am normally not a fan of double gauze, but it does not feel as bulky as some of the double gauze shirts I have owned, and the subtle texture of the waffling is a nice differentiator.

Super comfortable and breathable

Absolutely love this shirt! Double gauze wears slightly-unrefined, kind of like linen without the wrinkling issues, but that’s fine for my office. It’s a fantastic shirt for hot days and is super soft and comfortable. Unfortunately my wife accidentally threw it in the dryer after the first wear so, uh…don’t make that expensive mistake.
