Our premium denim is inspired by the classic vintage blue jean. Our Premium Japanese 4-Way Stretch Selvedge denim story starts in Japan where our fabric is developed at one of the oldest denim mills. We blend a unique 4 way stretch material with selvedge denim to create a specific amount of stretch and comfort you wouldn’t typically get with selvedge denim. This 360 degree of stretch gives the wearer comfort from every angle no matter what they are doing.

Our 4-Way Stretch selvedge fabric is weaved using vintage shuttle looms. Rolls of denim fabric are then brought into our workshop in Los Angeles where each pair goes through a 60 to 90 day process of cut, sew, washing and testing. With 4 fits available in multiple weights (see fit guide) and washes, the style options are endless.

Shrinkage

Raw denim has up to 2% shrinkage while it would be 1% for washed denim after wash but they will also stretch out again by being worn over time.

Once your order with the hemming request is brought to our tailor, the order will not be refundable.

Our denim goes through a time consuming 50 day process from start to finish to ensure the highest of quality. HIROSHI KATO jeans rock!

These are my favorite jeans of late. The 14.5 oz is the perfect weight. I wear these at the office with a button down and jacket and I wear them on the weekends riding motorcycle. The weight is heavy enough and the stretch is 👌 perfect. Highly recommend!

Great quality

Great quality. Run slightly slimmer through the legs than other 14oz slim tapered colors, but should stretch a bit with wear

Great Jeans... For Tall Folks

These are really good jeans, super high quality materials, comfortable, mostly solid fit. The only major draw backs to me are the inseam length is for really tall people. I'm 6'3" so it's no issue for me but if you are shorter than 6'1" you will probably have to wear these cuffed at all times or have them hemmed to your length.

The other major issue is the front rise is ridiculously high, although I think it's this specific pair. I have other jeans from Hiroshi Kato that fit much better. Overall 4.5/5.

Amazing Jeans

This is my third pair of Hiroshi Kato jeans, last week I took this particular pair to an Amalfi Coast trip along with two other pants, these jeans were the only ones I wore during the entire trip, they looked great with white sneakers, a t-shirt and a sweater for lunch and walking around the islands and loafers, and a shirt and jacket for dinner, could not be happier with this purchase.
