Kato’s respect for denim reaches back decades. Our years of experience and research resulted in our own version of the highly sought after denim of the 50s. We crafted this fabric with meticulous precision to replicate the uniform texture of the faded vintage denim collected for the Kato archives.

Kato 4-Way Stretch Selvedge has the fit, quality, and comfort that will earn the approval of even the most seasoned denim-heads. Woven on vintage shuttle looms at our Japanese Mill, this denim has the perfect amount of 360º movement and is more comfortable than any other selvedge jeans on the market. All of our jeans are proudly made in America.

This specially washed denim is one of our most evenly faded and broken in pairs of jeans. The beautiful texture of this Japanese selvedge denim is revealed through this washing process. These handcrafted Japanese jeans feature a selvedge ID on the coin pocket, chainstitched hems, YKK zipper fly and aged brass rivets.

Shrinkage

Raw denim has up to 2% shrinkage while it would be 1% for washed denim after wash but they will also stretch out again by being worn over time.

Returns

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, You may return or exchange the items within 21 days from the date the order is shipped out.

Once your order with the hemming request is brought to our tailor, the order will not be refundable.

Denim wash and linen spray are not eligible for return or exchange.

International orders (outside from the US) are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
