Admittedly, this pair is a typical for KATO' pants. Not made with 4-Way Stretch material, what this pair lacks in stretch it makes up for in style. Utilizing Indigo Herringbone pattern nep yarn mixed fabric from Japan, we added a red KATO' patch and red button for a striking color contrast.
These pants were my first order from Hiroshi Kato. I am pleased with the weight, fit, and uniqueness of these non-stretch nep herringbone pants. I'm a slim guy, about 5' 11" in height and weighing around 135lbs - and I wear anywhere between 28-30" waist size depending on the pant. I took a guess with these since it's my first experience with Hiroshi Kato, ordered size 29, and they really fit superbly. I generally look for pants without stretch and with 100% naturally-occuring textiles that will stand the test of time. These seemed to fit that description. They were listed on the website as 100% cotton. However, the tag in the pant says they are 80% cotton, 17% acrylic, and 3% polyester. I had iniitially given these pants 5 stars, but took it down to 4 because of this discrepancy between what is adverstised on the website and what is listed on the tag in the pant. I realize this might not be an important factor for some people, and aside from this factor they are 5-star pants to me - but transparency about clothing materials/textiles matters to me. I would not have ordered the pants had I known this and so I'm returning them.
